First i want to show my old 4th Gen, seeing as it was only circumstance that i ended up buying a 5.5.
Here it is a week before the accident. I had taken the rims off (G35 Coupe 18's) to be professionally painted at a local body shop.
Then, on August 4, 2010, exactly one month after winning Maxima Of The Month, my maxima was totaled by someone who ran a stop sign.
After fighting with insurance for 2 months, (the whole time, driving a 2011 ford taurus rental that they paid for) they awarded me $6000 for the car (demodded).
I had by that time found a 5.5 at a dealership that i wanted. i went and paid $7500 for the 2003 6speed SE. Purchase date was october 10, 2010.
I drove it over winter stock and purchased a few parts to be put on in spring, which included, D2 coilovers, Stillen front lip, and new tires. (more to come)
While it was in the shop, i took the time to pick up the newly painted wheels from the body shop.
In March, i wanted to get some maintenance done which included, tune up, brakes, engine/exhaust gaskets, sway bar links, bushings, etc etc. I also Had both front and rear bumpers resprayed, front lip painted, and coilovers installed. This picture was taken the day i picked the car up.
Heres some shots of the car as it sat from March to July. (only new mods in that period were NWP Torque Brace, NWP Block Off Plate, and Progress Rear Sway Bar.)
Then i got a great deal on a rear lip and had it painted at the shop.
Then of course, i got the mod itch again and i needed a change, i had had the G35 wheels on my 4th gen, and now on my 5th, and although i loved the way they looked, it was time for a change. 370Z 18s came next.
I had those for about 2 weeks, the whole time loving the way they looked, but hating how the rear wheels rubbed against the rear wheel well. i should have gotten them rolled and pulled, but now im glad i didnt, because i came across some Altima SER wheels from a close friend Evan. This is how the car currently sits. And i love it! These wheels make the car feel so much better than the others.
This is how she sits in winter mode.
